More than extra labour
Your engineer should not have to run our job for us
There are times when a site simply needs additional skilled people inside an existing plan. Pangea can provide that. Our principal offer is different: we take an agreed package of work, arrive with a clear outcome to deliver and manage the preparation, people and close-out needed to get there.
That matters during a shutdown. Your maintenance team may be coordinating dozens of jobs at once. Our lead engineer is focused on the work you gave us, making sure it is ready to start, keeping the crew moving and raising decisions through one clear route.
Preparation starts before the shutdown
Find the missing part, access problem or tooling requirement while there is still time to solve it
For planned work, Pangea gets involved early. Where the job is unfamiliar, non-routine or needs physical verification, we send an experienced person to inspect the equipment and the surrounding working conditions before mobilisation.
- Confirm the equipment, scope, known condition and required outcome
- Identify likely parts requirements and check what the site holds
- Plan the tools, instruments and specialist equipment Pangea needs to bring
- Identify access, scaffolding and lifting requirements early enough to arrange them
- Liaise with the site planner or shutdown coordinator
- Prepare and submit RAMS and required compliance information
- Identify outstanding site inductions and plan them before the work starts

One lead engineer, one clear route
We manage our crew and keep the right person on your side informed
Pangea appoints a lead engineer for the work package. That person is the principal interface with the client, maintains oversight of the agreed plan and supports the tradespeople carrying out the work.
Your engineer should not need to direct each person, answer the same question several times or work out who is responsible for the next step. Progress, findings and decisions come through the lead engineer, so the site has a clear view without having to manage the crew for us.
Ready to start safely
Preparation is not complete until the people, paperwork and site arrangements line up
Before work begins, we make sure the required RAMS, competency information and inductions have been dealt with. On site, we work inside the client's permit and isolation arrangements and check that the equipment has been safely presented before accepting the handover.
Controlled work, visible decisions
Unexpected findings are raised, not hidden inside the job
Once work is under way, Pangea manages the agreed sequence, coordinates inspection stages and keeps the client informed of material findings. If dismantling reveals additional damage, a parts issue or work outside the agreed scope, the lead engineer raises it with the responsible site contact before the team proceeds beyond its authority.
If the planned work is completed with time remaining, the client can decide whether to release the crew or ask Pangea to assess additional work. We only take that work on when the right competence, equipment, time and site permissions are available.

A proper handback
Leave the equipment working and the maintenance team clear about what changed
Where testing or commissioning forms part of the agreed package, we complete it as early as the programme allows rather than waiting for the final minutes of the shutdown. Where useful and agreed, an engineer can remain available while the equipment returns to operation.
- What was inspected, dismantled and completed
- What was repaired, adjusted or replaced
- Which parts were fitted and where they were used
- Material measurements, findings and outstanding concerns
- The mechanical handback or commissioning status
- The resulting position of the relevant site parts inventory
Two ways to use Pangea
A defined outcome owned by Pangea
Give us an agreed package and outcome. We provide the preparation, technical lead, tradespeople, working process and close-out needed to deliver it.
Skilled people inside your plan
If your site already has the scope, supervision and reporting process in place, Pangea can provide experienced mechanical personnel to work within it.
